Tesla Inc. received authorization to launch its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised driver-assistance software in Belgium. Annick De Ridder, transport minister of the Flanders region, announced the approval. The authorization applies nationwide. Tesla completed required road tests in Belgium.
Belgium becomes the fifth European Union member state to approve the technology, joining the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, and Denmark. The approval followed Denmark's by one day. This signals accelerating acceptance of the advanced driver-assistance system in Europe. The rollout to eligible Tesla vehicles in Belgium is expected to begin shortly.
