T-Mobile fully restored cellular service Tuesday morning following a widespread outage that began Monday afternoon.

The disruption affected tens of thousands of customers across the United States.

Downdetector recorded more than 62,000 reports at the peak of the event.

Many users reported their devices entered SOS mode, losing all cellular signal and data connectivity.

T-Mobile apologized for the technical challenges but has not yet disclosed the cause of the failure.

Rival carrier Verizon stated its own network remained fully operational throughout the incident.
