Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) and its electric vehicle arm have signed a definitive agreement with Stellantis NV to expand their partnership into vehicle technology and product development for global markets. The agreement formalizes a memorandum of understanding signed in February 2026 and moves the partnership beyond contract manufacturing to sharing vehicle platform technology.
Stellantis will use Tata Motors’ vehicle architecture to develop and engineer vehicles for more than 50 international markets. Manufacturing for the global push will be centered at the existing 50:50 joint venture facility, Fiat India Automobiles Private Limited, in Ranjangaon, India, positioning the site as a key export hub.
