Tesla’s energy division secured a contract with Italian developer Zhero to supply 3 GWh of Megapack systems. The deal carries an estimated value of $800 million.
South African power producer H1 Holdings is also a partner in the framework agreement. The hardware will support a significant portion of Zhero’s 1.5 GW utility-scale battery pipeline.
Italy is a critical market for grid-scale storage due to rapid solar and wind energy expansion. These Megapacks will provide necessary stability for the country's renewable energy grid.
