Tesla officially registered Tesla Motors Vietnam Limited Liability Company in Ho Chi Minh City. The new entity holds a charter capital of approximately $3 million.
The subsidiary is authorized for the wholesale and retail sale of automobiles and parts. It will also manage all import, export, and distribution activities within the country.
This move positions Tesla to compete directly with VinFast, which currently dominates the domestic electric vehicle market. Business filings list a chairman based in Austin, Texas, confirming direct oversight from the U.S. parent company.
