T1 Energy has signed new offtake agreements covering more than 1.58GW of its TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) solar modules. The agreements bring the company’s total contracted manufacturing capacity for 2027 to more than 4GW.

The modules will use a mix of imported and domestically produced solar cells. Domestic cells will come from T1 Energy’s G2_Austin manufacturing facility, which is under construction in Texas.

The agreements support the company’s strategy to strengthen the US solar supply chain and bring key manufacturing capabilities under domestic ownership. T1 Energy further advanced that strategy by acquiring foundational TOPCon solar patents earlier in the year.
