Tencent jumps 4%, commercializing AI models and repurchasing 1.1M shares

Tencent shares rose more than 4% on May 19, 2026.

Tencent Cloud will transition its Hy3 preview and DeepSeek-V4-Pro AI models to commercial services on May 27. The models will move from a free public beta to a usage-based service.

Tencent Cloud also announced a strategic collaboration with Stream to develop real-time, multimodal AI agents. Stream is the company behind the Vision Agents AI framework.

Tencent repurchased 1.112 million shares on May 18. The company spent HKD 501 million on the transaction. A Hong Kong Exchange disclosure revealed the buyback.
