In a recent SEC filing, Ruane, Cunniff & Goldfarb's Sequoia Fund disclosed a 22.4% reduction in its Sunbelt Rentals holdings, selling approximately 1.23 million shares. As with all 13F filings, this information reflects trades made in the quarter ending June 30, 2026, and was made public in mid-August.

The influential value investor had just established the Sunbelt position in the first quarter of 2026. According to its second-quarter shareholder letter, the Sequoia Fund trimmed its investment in Sunbelt Rentals to help fund new and existing positions in other companies. Following the sale, the equipment rental company now represents about 4.96% of the fund's reported portfolio.
