SPS Commerce (SPSC) shares jumped as much as 11% following reports of acquisition talks with private equity firm GTCR. Bloomberg reported the discussions, citing people familiar with the matter.
The parties have not reached a final agreement, and the negotiations may still collapse or attract other suitors. The supply-chain software provider began exploring a sale in June with assistance from Morgan Stanley.
Activist investors Irenic Capital Management and Anson Funds Management have pressured the company to sell. Both GTCR and SPS Commerce declined to comment on the speculation.
