Sanofi is experiencing a shortage of two medications for Pompe disease. Pompe disease is a rare genetic disorder. The supply constraint is forcing some patients to postpone or reduce their treatments.

The shortage follows a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warning regarding manufacturing issues at Sanofi's facility in Ireland. This facility produces the impacted drugs.

A routine SEC filing released the same day disclosed Sanofi's holding of Attovia Series C preferred stock.
