NuScale Power is negotiating with South Korea for a potential investment and small modular reactor (SMR) project. The company aims to secure its first commercial contract through these discussions.
NuScale maintains existing supply chain partnerships with South Korean firms Doosan Enerbility and Samsung C&T. The company is also pursuing large-scale opportunities in Romania and with the Tennessee Valley Authority, though no contracts have been finalized.
NuScale holds the only SMR design approved by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The company has not yet signed its first commercial sale, making these talks a critical milestone for its path to commercialization.
