Super Micro Computer (SMCI) announced preliminary first-quarter revenue of $18.5 billion to $19.5 billion for the quarter ended September 30, sending its shares higher in after-hours trading.
The new forecast is up from the company’s previous range of $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion. Its midpoint is well above analyst consensus of approximately $15 billion.
Super Micro attributed the stronger outlook to robust demand for its AI platforms and a favorable customer and product mix. The company also raised its gross margin guidance to 12.0% to 12.5%.
Super Micro is scheduled to report full financial results on November 3.
