SK Group announced a ₩2,100 trillion ($1.4 trillion) investment plan on June 29, 2026. This capital will expand South Korea’s AI infrastructure and semiconductor production capabilities.

The group allocated ₩1,000 trillion specifically for building AI data centers. Another ₩1,100 trillion will fund increased semiconductor supply.

SK Telecom will lead the development of 15 gigawatts of AI data center capacity across the country. This initiative aims to transform South Korea from an AI technology consumer into a global exporter.

Separately, SK Telecom will purchase 397 billion won worth of shares in SK Hynix Nand Product Solutions.
