Siemens announced two major industrial partnerships on June 29, 2026. The company is collaborating with aviation startup JetZero to build an AI-powered smart factory in North Carolina. This facility will manufacture the new Z4 all-wing aircraft. Siemens utilized digital twin technology to design and simulate the production site. The project represents a $4.7 billion investment. It is expected to create more than 14,500 jobs.
Siemens also partnered with climate tech firm Ucaneo to scale direct air capture (DAC) technology. Siemens will serve as the preferred automation partner using its Xcelerator portfolio. The collaboration aims to deploy Ucaneo’s carbon removal technology globally. Ucaneo is scheduled to inaugurate Germany’s largest DAC facility on July 2, 2026.
