Shell Energy North America (SENA) signed two agreements to restructure its U.S. power portfolio.

The company is acquiring Hunlock Creek Generating LLC, which operates a 169-megawatt natural gas-fired power plant in Pennsylvania. This acquisition strengthens Shell’s presence in the PJM wholesale electricity market.

SENA is selling its interest in RISEC Holdings, LLC to Constellation Energy Generation for $715 million. RISEC Holdings owns a 609-MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant in New England.

Both transactions are scheduled to close in the first quarter of 2027. The deals remain subject to regulatory approvals.
