Savannah Resources Plc is weighing a secondary listing on Euronext Lisbon or the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). The London-listed developer seeks to capitalize on rising demand for battery materials and diversify its investor base outside the UK.

CEO Emanuel Proença noted high interest from Euronext investors due to a lack of major lithium spodumene opportunities on that exchange. The ASX remains a candidate because of its high concentration of established lithium stocks. This strategy supports Western government efforts to decrease critical mineral reliance on China.

The Barroso project in Portugal received EU strategic project status in 2025. Construction at the site will begin in 2027, with production scheduled for late 2028. The facility has the potential to become one of the largest lithium mines in Europe.
