Sanofi terminated its Phase 3 MOBILIZE clinical trial for riliprubart, an investigational antibody targeting chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP).

The decision followed an interim analysis by an Independent Data Monitoring Committee. The committee concluded the drug was unlikely to demonstrate sufficient efficacy in the study population. Reviewers identified no new safety concerns during the analysis.

The MOBILIZE trial focused on CIDP patients who did not respond to standard-of-care treatments. This development marks a significant setback for Sanofi’s pipeline, as riliprubart was considered a key asset.

Sanofi is now evaluating the future of other ongoing studies for the drug. These include a separate Phase 3 trial involving a different CIDP patient population.
