RTX's Pratt & Whitney Canada secured a nine-year contract. The deal is valued at approximately $1 billion. It covers engine overhauls for the U.S. military's T-6 trainer aircraft fleet. V2X Inc. awarded the contract. V2X manages maintenance for the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS).
Pratt & Whitney will service more than 750 PT6A-68 engines. The company's facility in Bridgeport, West Virginia, will perform the work. This facility employs about 500 people. It has a long history of maintaining these engines. The contract continues a partnership supporting the readiness of U.S. military pilot training programs.
