Rocket Lab Shares Jump, FCC Accepts $8.1 Billion Iridium Acquisition Bid

Rocket Lab shares jumped over 6% following a regulatory update on its Iridium Communications acquisition.

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) accepted license-transfer applications for the $8.1 billion deal. This procedural step triggers the start of a public-comment period.

Rocket Lab expects the transaction to close in mid-2027. The deal remains subject to shareholder approval and final regulatory clearances.
