Rheinmetall AG, startup ERC System, and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia signed a letter of intent on June 10, 2026. The partnership explores establishing a production facility for the Victor U250 hybrid-electric drone.
The Victor U250 carries a maximum payload of 250 kg. The aircraft maintains a flight range of 300 km.
The project expects to create hundreds of new jobs. These positions should be established by 2029. Rheinmetall aims to scale the technology industrially to accelerate the drone's market launch.
