Jio Platforms, the technology subsidiary of Reliance Industries, entered the top 20 of the 2025 Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) rankings. The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) released the standings, which show the company climbed 320 places. Jio Platforms now ranks alongside global leaders such as Huawei, Samsung, and Qualcomm. It is the only Indian technology company featured on the list.

The company’s patent portfolio focuses on 5G, 6G, artificial intelligence, cloud-native platforms, and intelligent automation. Managing Director Akash Ambani stated the achievement reflects years of dedicated work in deep-tech innovation. This recognition underscores Jio’s development of a robust intellectual property portfolio and its emergence as a significant player in the global technology landscape.
