PayPal has integrated Pix into its PayPal Complete Payments platform for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in Brazil. This move allows merchants to offer the country’s leading instant payment method at checkout. The integration aims to reduce transaction friction and increase sales in one of the world's fastest-growing e-commerce markets.
Pix currently serves over 170 million users in Brazil. The payment method accounts for approximately one-third of the country's total online sales. Latin American digital commerce is projected to reach nearly $944 billion by 2026.
This initiative aligns with PayPal's strategy to provide local payment solutions for regional businesses. By incorporating Pix, PayPal aims to capture a larger share of the expanding Latin American digital commerce market.
