The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission approved a $275 million annual distribution rate increase for PPL Electric Utilities. This change takes effect on July 1, 2026.
The revenue will fund grid modernization, smart-grid technology, and infrastructure improvements. This increase supports PPL’s projected annual earnings growth of 6% to 8% through 2029.
The decision provides greater revenue visibility for the company's capital expenditure program. Typical residential customers will see an estimated monthly bill increase of 3.23%. PPL reached the settlement through collaboration with customer advocates and business interests.
