The UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has begun reviewing Prologis, Inc.'s anticipated acquisition of SEGRO plc. The agency issued an invitation to comment, an early step in its Phase 1 investigation, and is seeking views from interested parties on the merger's potential effects on competition. The comment period closes on November 10, 2026.

The inquiry follows the recommended acquisition agreement announced in August 2026. Prologis agreed to buy its UK-based rival for approximately $18.8 billion (£14 billion).

SEGRO shareholders approved the deal in September. It is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory clearances. The combination would create a dominant force in Europe's logistics and industrial property market.
