Pfizer reported Phase 3 TALAPRO-3 study results at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting.

The trial evaluated a combination of TALZENNA (talazoparib) and XTANDI (enzalutamide) for metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC).

Targeted patients possessed homologous recombination repair (HRR) gene mutations.

The combination therapy achieved a 77% progression-free survival rate after three years.

Patients treated with XTANDI alone reached a 56% progression-free survival rate.

These results represent a 52% reduction in the risk of disease progression or death.

Clinical benefits appeared across both BRCA and non-BRCA gene alterations.

The data suggests the combination could become a new standard of care for this patient population.
