Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras confirmed the presence of hydrocarbons at the Morpho exploratory well (1-BRSA-1405-APS). The discovery is located in block FZA-M-59 within the ultra-deep waters of the Foz do Amazonas Basin.

The well is situated approximately 175 kilometers off the coast of Amapá state. Drilling reached a water depth of 2,886 meters.

Petrobras confirmed the discovery through wireline logs and rock indications. The company serves as the sole operator of the block, which it originally acquired in 2013.

Drilling operations continue to assess the continuity and extent of the reservoirs. This exploration supports Petrobras' strategy to replenish reserves and meet Brazil's energy demand.

President Magda Chambriard stated that the find confirms the company's optimism for Brazil's equatorial margin.
