Patria Investments commenced commercial operations at its Puerta de Oro solar park in Colombia. The facility delivers 360 MW to the National Interconnected System. It is located between the municipalities of Guaduas and Chaguaní. This project is now the second-largest operational solar facility in the country.
The plant represents an investment of approximately $280 million. It is expected to generate over 700 GWh annually. This output provides enough energy to power more than 450,000 homes.
Operations began ahead of schedule to fulfill commitments from previous energy auctions. Patria stated the early launch reinforces the stability of the national electricity system.
