Oracle expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to launch the Oracle AI Database Agent for Gemini Enterprise. This tool allows users to query databases using natural language, removing the requirement for SQL coding or knowledge of database structures.
The agent is available via the Google Cloud Marketplace for customers using Oracle Autonomous Database on Google Cloud. This integration facilitates secure data interaction and analytics without requiring data to be moved outside the database.
Oracle shares jumped 3% in pre-market trading Wednesday following the news. The initiative builds on the existing Oracle Database@Google Cloud service to improve data accessibility for business users.
