Navitas Semiconductor will begin first shipments of its 5th Generation GaNFast™ power semiconductors manufactured in the United States in September 2026. GlobalFoundries produces the chips at its 200mm facility in Burlington, Vermont. The companies first announced this collaboration in November 2025.
This initiative establishes a trusted, domestic supply of advanced gallium nitride (GaN) power semiconductors. The Gen 5 GaNFast technology powers next-generation applications. These include artificial intelligence data centers, high-performance computing, industrial electrification, and critical national security systems. The technology reinforces the U.S. semiconductor ecosystem.
