Novartis AG exercised its exclusive option to acquire the global rights to Sironax’s proprietary brain delivery platform on September 17, 2026. The transaction involves a $125 million payment to Sironax upon completion. This deal follows an original option and asset purchase agreement first disclosed in July 2025.

The acquired platform overcomes the blood-brain barrier to deliver treatments for central nervous system (CNS) disorders. The modality-agnostic technology enables the delivery of various therapies, including monoclonal antibodies, peptides, and gene therapies. Sironax retains the rights to use the platform for its own selected assets.
