NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang publicly urged partner Super Micro Computer to strengthen regulatory compliance during a visit to Taipei. The demand follows a Taiwanese investigation into three individuals for allegedly making fraudulent declarations to export high-end AI servers to China. These servers, manufactured by Super Micro, contained NVIDIA chips and violated U.S. trade restrictions.
Huang stated that NVIDIA remains rigorous in explaining regulations to partners and expects Super Micro to prevent future incidents. The CEO is currently in Taiwan to deliver a keynote speech at the Computex conference on June 1.
Huang will also attend an employee meeting this Wednesday to celebrate the launch of NVIDIA's new Taiwan headquarters project. Separately, Huang reaffirmed that NVIDIA views China as a critical long-term market despite ongoing U.S. trade restrictions.
