Market speculation initially drove Dell Technologies shares up by 6.7%. HP Inc. stock also rose 5.3% following the acquisition rumors.
An NVIDIA spokesperson stated the media report is false and confirmed the company is not engaged in such discussions. Dell and HP shares both declined by more than 3% in after-hours trading following the denial.
