Nokia and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison partnered to modernize Indonesia’s nationwide mobile network. The agreement deploys advanced 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) technologies across the country.

The rollout targets low-band 5G for the entire network over the next three and a half years. Mid-band 5G will reach approximately 80% of the network during this timeframe.

Nokia will provide its latest radio products, baseband hardware, and network automation platforms. The collaboration includes NVIDIA to develop AI-integrated network capabilities.

The companies plan to move from a successful AI-RAN call at Mobile World Congress 2026 to Indonesian field trials by the end of that year. This initiative aims to launch new AI-driven services and enhance digital customer experiences.
