Yangtze Memory Technologies Corp. (YMTC) became the world's third-largest NAND flash supplier by shipment volume in the second quarter. YMTC captured 14% of global bit shipments for the first time. The company now trails Samsung’s 25% and SK Hynix’s 22% market shares. This performance placed YMTC ahead of Kioxia and U.S.-based Micron Technology.

YMTC ranks fifth in total revenue despite its high shipment volume. The company's product mix remains concentrated in lower-value consumer applications. High-margin enterprise SSDs for AI data centers now drive 48% of total NAND bit shipments.

YMTC recorded 22% year-over-year shipment growth. Strong domestic demand and global supply shortages fueled this expansion.
