MTN Group Ltd. confirmed its participation in Ghana’s newly launched 5G spectrum auction. The National Communications Authority (NCA) reopened direct licensing after cancelling a previous wholesale network deal backed by Reliance.
The auction offers spectrum rights for a 15-year period. Applications for the licenses are due by August 6, 2026.
The NCA will reveal the highest bids on August 20. Final winners will be announced on August 28.
