OpenAI released its newest artificial intelligence model named Astra, positioning the technology ahead of competitor Anthropic in the current market landscape. Company president Greg Brockman characterized the release as a generational advancement in functional capability. Brockman further indicated that the model meets the criteria to be classified as Artificial General Intelligence. The organization has begun the initial rollout phase for the software to its user base.
