Non-developer knowledge workers now account for approximately 20% of the user base. This segment is growing three times faster than the developer category. These users employ Codex for data analysis, research, and automating reports or presentations.
The report highlights Codex’s evolution from a specialized coding assistant into a broad productivity tool. This expansion increases competition with rivals such as Anthropic’s Claude.
