Microsoft will begin disclosing quarterly revenue for its Azure cloud business to increase investor transparency.

Azure revenue reached $29.4 billion in the most recent quarter. Total Azure sales surpassed $100 billion for the fiscal year ending in June.

The disclosure enables direct comparisons with competitors Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud.

Microsoft is restructuring its three operating segments into two new divisions. The Agents and Infra segment will include Azure and other business software. The Devices and Consumer segment will encompass Windows, Xbox, and advertising.

This new reporting structure takes effect starting with fiscal first-quarter results.
