France secured over €110 billion in proposed AI and data center investments during its annual Choose France summit.

The projects will add approximately 10 gigawatts of new computing capacity. This expansion provides power equivalent to 10 nuclear reactors.

SoftBank pledged up to €75 billion to develop a network of AI computing clusters. This commitment joins previous multi-billion euro investments from Microsoft, Amazon, and Brookfield.

France’s abundant, low-carbon nuclear power attracts these energy-intensive projects. Investors warned that success depends on faster regulatory approvals and improved grid access.
