Meta has launched a new line of AI-powered smart glasses, dropping the Ray-Ban co-branding in favor of its own. The new collection, still produced in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, features three styles: the 'Fury,' the 'Adventurer,' and a special edition designed with Kylie Jenner. The glasses retain the same core AI and camera features as the previous generation.
A key driver for the branding change is to offer a more accessible price point. The new Meta Glasses start at $299, a reduction from the $379 starting price of the latest Ray-Ban models. Meta executives stated that removing the premium Ray-Ban branding allows them to reach a wider market. The new models also introduce more fit customization options, including adjustable nose pads and temple arms.
