Lockheed Martin has completed its acquisition of Ultra Maritime, a global defense company specializing in undersea and anti-submarine warfare (ASW). The deal adds sonar technologies, sonobuoys and torpedo defense systems to Lockheed Martin’s portfolio.
Lockheed Martin will integrate Ultra Maritime’s international presence and product lines into its Rotary and Mission Systems business area. The companies aim to combine their technologies to develop and deliver solutions for finding, tracking and deterring underwater threats.
The combination is intended to meet growing demand from allied naval forces for advanced undersea warfare capabilities.
