Eli Lilly released details for its Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program starting July 1, 2026. This initiative provides Medicare Part D beneficiaries access to Zepbound injections and Foundayo oral tablets.

Qualified patients will pay $50 per month for these obesity treatments. This program marks the first broad Medicare coverage for this drug class. The initiative could reach an estimated 20 million clinically eligible individuals.

The program aims to remove financial barriers for older adults while strengthening Lilly's market position. The bridge program concludes on December 31, 2027.
