Eli Lilly secured coverage for obesity drugs Zepbound and Foundayo from all three major U.S. pharmacy benefit managers.
CVS Caremark will add both medications to its standard commercial formularies. This decision reverses CVS's previous exclusion of Zepbound in favor of a rival treatment.
CVS Caremark will begin covering the oral medication Foundayo on June 1, 2026. The PBM will resume coverage for the injectable treatment Zepbound on October 1, 2026.
Zepbound already maintains coverage through Express Scripts and Optum Rx. This expansion completes a major commercial milestone for Lilly’s growing obesity drug portfolio.
