For fiscal 2026, which ended June 30, Lendlease Group reported a statutory loss after tax of A$749 million. This was a sharp reversal from the prior year's profit, driven primarily by non-cash impairments and costs in its Capital Release Unit (CRU), which holds non-core assets designated for sale.

The CRU posted an operating loss of A$800 million. By contrast, the ongoing Investments, Development, and Construction (IDC) segment delivered A$542 million in EBITDA.

Construction was a standout performer, with revenue and margins increasing. The division secured A$6.4 billion in new work.

The result reflects the costs of Lendlease's strategy to exit international markets and simplify its operations. The company is selling assets to reduce debt and strengthen its balance sheet.
