LG Electronics introduced an air-cooled, oil-free inverter turbo chiller designed for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. The system addresses extreme heat generated by AI servers while reducing power consumption.
The chiller utilizes proprietary oil-free magnetic bearing technology. This hardware improves part-load efficiency by more than 20% compared to traditional inverter screw chillers.
The product employs a refrigerant with low global warming potential. Its modular design shortens on-site construction time to enable rapid data center expansion.
