A consortium including KKR & Co. Inc., Amwins Group, and Dragoneer Investment Group is advancing its proposal to acquire Australia’s Steadfast Group. The group reconfirmed its cash offer of $6.00 per share. This bid values Steadfast at approximately $7.7 billion.
Due diligence has entered its final stages. The parties extended the exclusivity period to August 21, 2026, to finalize documentation and remaining approvals.
The proposed deal would split Steadfast’s operations between the consortium members. Amwins would acquire the underwriting agency arm. KKR and Dragoneer would take over the retail brokerage business. KKR joined the group in July as a co-lead investment partner for the brokerage portion.
The Steadfast board stated that while progress has been made, there is no guarantee the parties will reach a binding agreement.
