KKR and SK Inc. are launching a 2 trillion won ($1.3 billion) renewable energy platform. This venture establishes the largest clean energy platform in South Korea. KKR holds a 51% stake and initial management control. SK Inc. retains the remaining 49% ownership.

The platform serves rising clean energy demand from power-intensive industries. The venture specifically targets artificial intelligence data centers and semiconductor manufacturing.

The platform consolidates solar, wind, and fuel cell assets from SK Innovation, SK ecoplant, and SK eternix. It launches with 1.7 gigawatts of operational capacity. A development pipeline aims to expand total capacity to 10 gigawatts.
