JPMorgan Chase committed over $750 billion through 2035 to boost U.S. housing supply and homeownership. This capital deployment represents a nearly 40% increase over the bank’s previous decade of housing investment. The effort falls under the firm’s American Dream Initiative to expand local economic opportunities.

The bank plans to finance the creation or preservation of one million affordable housing units. The initiative aims to help 500,000 customers purchase homes, including 200,000 first-time buyers. JPMorgan Chase will hire 850 new home lending advisers to support these goals.

The firm will explore financing for innovative construction methods like modular and manufactured homes. The plan includes policy engagement to reform zoning, permitting, and building codes. These reforms aim to lower development costs and unlock additional housing supply.
