JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon labeled risks from Anthropic’s Mythos AI model a real issue during a July 15 summit. Speaking at the Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit, Dimon compared the widespread availability of advanced AI to giving ballistic missiles to individuals. He argued that access to such powerful technology must be strictly controlled.
JPMorgan was among a select group granted early access to Mythos. The model is specifically known for its ability to identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
The U.S. government intervened in June to temporarily restrict access to Mythos due to national security concerns. Dimon noted that Washington officials are actively managing the situation to prevent potential misuse of the technology.
