A consortium including JD.com, China Overseas Land & Investment, and China Resources Land won a development tender in Hong Kong’s Northern Metropolis. The group secured the Hung Shui Kiu site for HK$1.03 billion. Total investment in the project is expected to reach HK$16.8 billion ($2.14 billion).

The development will feature a large-scale smart logistics hub with JD.com as the anchor tenant. The site will also include residential and commercial facilities. JD Logistics plans to integrate robotics and AI-driven systems into the hub.

Initial operations are scheduled to begin within 55 months. The project aims to enhance technology collaboration between Hong Kong and mainland China. The development is expected to create more than 6,000 jobs.
